Spooner, Wisconsin is located in Northern Wisconsin and is the home of a very active pulling family.
Pulling has been a way of life for the Scalzo’s who were raised on the family dairy farm for 20 plus years with dad Roger Sr. who pulled at local fairs for many years. Roger, Sr., Roger, Jr,. Doug, Tom and brother in law Steve Arnevik all have pulling experience and have enjoyed success, including winning the Dairyland Garden Tractor Pullers points title in 2016.
At one point the family sported a Ford, a Chevy and a Dodge all in the family. Doug sported a Ford, Tom drove the NTPA colorful Dodge N Bullets trucks and brother-in-law Steve Arnevik pulled the Heartland Express Chevy with NTPA.
Ralph is self-employed with Scalzo Enterprises and works in the logging industry in Northern Wisconsin. A typical day includes trucking raw products from the woods to the mills. Doug ran heavy equipment for many years and is currently in sales the Fadick/Caterpillar.
Steve Arnevik runs a house moving business that can do any type of home moving you would like, big or small. Roger, new to the NTPA Limited Pro Stock scene after pulling in the Hot Farm class, had a great season finishing second in 2015.
Roger took home wins at Ellsworth, Wisconsin and New Hampton, Iowa in 2016
