THE PULLING EXPERIENCE
Every time they pull those belts tight and the chain gets tight it’s an unexplainable rush then you open that throttle and everything goes into fast motion for 15 seconds. Then the sudden drop and stop and the relax sets in and wait for the next hook. The pulling groups out here have become great friends and even called pulling families. They help each other to make sure they can make it to the next hook.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
In 1993 Jason Miller and John hooked their 1st pull in Gustine, CA on July 3rd and placed 1st in the class and it hooked them into pulling. In 2010 MBH Racing was formed with the building of Code3. MBH stands for (Miller, Boer, Birdsong, Hamilton) the guys that started the team. Since then they have built 3 trucks and helped several others over the years.

The Boer family farms around 600 acres of almonds, walnuts, corn and oats and they also raise and show horses pigs and goats. In the off season the whole crew likes to go hunting and fishing and have annual hunts that they have been doing for 15+ years.
This year when they decided to put Code3 in the Pro Mod class for the first time. It was definitely a gamble but they wanted to try and it paid off. They had an excellent run placing 7th out of 11 very strong trucks.
Favorite pull would have to be Denair, California this year after being told that the truck didn’t have it to compete in its class to go to that pull and win the class just proved to them the slight changes all season they never went backwards just got better with each hook. Another highlight was to achieve the VTPA 6000 super stock championship in the very 1st year in the class.
IT’S A UNIQUE TRUCK
One thing the fans wouldn’t know is that Code3 is still a licensed for the road. Still has full interior and all running gear. It was built in a way if they ever didn’t pull it anymore it could be put right back to a street truck due to the history and heritage of Code3.
A GOOD PLACE TO CALL HOME
Modesto, California is a medium size town but the rural farming community they are in is a close knit community that helps each other when help is needed a good example is our volunteer fire department which a few of them are members of. It’s a place where you drop everything to help a neighbor in need.
